MCFAM (Minnesota Center for Financial & Actuarial Mathematics) is part of the University of Minnesota’s School of Mathematics. MCFAM combines undergraduate and graduate academic programs in Actuarial Science and Financial Mathematics with activities that bring together academia and industry. This collaboration creates high quality, comprehensive educational and research platforms that advance domain knowledge and address industry needs. MCFAM fosters interactions between students, faculty, industry practitioners, and visiting scholars through  workshops, research projects, seminars, a distinguished lecture series, and industry-student career events. MCFAM's academic programs are interdisciplinary by nature so students get ample exposure to mathematics, computer science, economics, statistics, finance, insurance and ethics.
